EmoFlow is a tool for understanding your emotions. People sometimes share heavy things here, so we built care into the product. This page explains in plain language how we help keep people safe - for the people who care about them: parents, therapists and partners.
What we do
EmoFlow watches a conversation for signs that someone may be struggling. When it sees them, it offers crisis-support resources - help lines and services chosen for the user's country.
What we don't do
EmoFlow is not an emergency service and not a replacement for a professional. We do not diagnose, we do not provide therapy, and we never record conversations to sell or hand to third parties.
How we respond to a crisis
When EmoFlow notices signs of crisis, it responds calmly and without judgement, gently encourages reaching a real person who can help, and shows local crisis lines for the user's country. It never abruptly ends the conversation.
Extra protection for teens (13+)
EmoFlow is for ages 13 and up. For teenagers we are more cautious, we watch for more than self-harm alone, and we point toward a trusted adult or a youth and child-protection line. EmoFlow is not built for children under 13.
For therapists and clinicians
EmoFlow is a helper between sessions, never a replacement for you. With your client's consent they can share a read-only dashboard so you can see patterns and any safety flags - and they can revoke that access at any time. We don't contact anyone on a client's behalf; in a crisis we point them to real help.
Your data and your control
On the free plan, your check-ins stay on your own device. With an account or Pro, your data is stored securely so you can sync across devices and share with a therapist. You can delete your data at any time, and we never sell it.
If someone is in danger right now
EmoFlow cannot contact emergency services for you. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, please call your local emergency number or a crisis line right away.
